Registration is Open for the Pond’s Charity Golf Tournament on June 6

The Virginia Pond will host its 24th Annual Charity Golf Tournament on Thursday, June 6.  Proceeds will benefit local charities like those listed on the Pond’s charity page.  Here are the details:

2023 Christmas Social

The Virginia Pond’s annual Christmas Social will be held Wednesday, December 13.  Family members and guests are welcome!  Please RSVP by 12/6. 

Details:  This event will be held from 6-8:30 pm at the American Legion Post 244, located at 2522 Indale Rd. in Glen Allen, VA.  The cost is $50 when paid in advance or $55 at the door, and includes dinner (catered by Maribelles), beverages (wine, beer, soft drinks), and lots of fellowship.

December Charity – As is our holiday tradition, attendees are encouraged to bring a donation for the USO center at the Richmond Int’l Airport.  The USO provides hospitality to thousands of troops and their families during the holiday season.  Needs include individual size snacks and beverages, travel size toiletries, and cash/gift cards.  View a full list of acceptable items here.

Prize raffle tickets will also be sold at this event with all proceeds going to the USO.  Raffle prize donations are welcome!

October 18 Shuckin’ & Jivin’

It’s back!  The Virginia Pond’s annual Shuckin’ & Jivin’ event will take place on Wednesday, October 18 at Steam Bell Beer Works in Midlothian, VA. Proceeds will benefit Comfort Zone Camp (CZC), a safe place for grieving kids.

Join us for an evening of fellowship, food (featuring oysters), and live music – all for a great cause!  Our entertainer this year is Beaverdam’s own Kris Scott.

This event is open to family, friends and industry professionals.

October 19 Piggin’ & Jiggin’ Recap

The Virginia Pond’s 12th annual October fundraising event was held Wednesday, October 19.  This year, we switched things up and moved the event to Extra Billy’s Smokehouse and Brewery in Midlothian, VA. Proceeds still benefitted Comfort Zone Camp (CZC), a safe place for grieving kids.  Live music was provided by Barefoot Joe, who is no doubt soon to be a Nashville star.  It was a great evening!

This event is open to family, friends and industry professionals.  The cost is $35 when paid by October 17 or $40 at the door and includes food, entertainment, and non-alcoholic beverages. A full cash bar will be available.
