October 19 Piggin’ & Jiggin’

The Virginia Pond’s 12th annual October fundraising event will take place on Wednesday, October 19.  This year, we’re switching things up and moving the event to Extra Billy’s Smokehouse and Brewery in Midlothian, VA. Proceeds will still benefit Comfort Zone Camp (CZC), a safe place for grieving kids.

Join us for an evening of fellowship, food, and live music with Richmond’s own Barefoot Joe – all for a great cause!

This event is open to family, friends and industry professionals.  The cost is $35 when paid by October 17 or $40 at the door and includes food, entertainment, and non-alcoholic beverages. A full cash bar will be available.

Meet your 2023-2024 Grand Nest Officers

The Virginia Home

The Virginia Home, founded in 1894, is a Richmond based residence for adults with irreversible physical disabilities.  Their mission is to ensure residents lifelong comfort and security, regardless of the ability to pay – helping them live meaningful lives in spite of major physical challenges.

Tech For Troops

Tech For Troops (T4T) takes donations of used computer equipment and uses them to provide training, education and technology opportunities for veterans and their families.  Founded in Richmond, T4T has grown to support veterans nationwide.

August 17 Social at Midnight Brewery

The Virginia Pond is happy to be hosting its annual Summer Social on Wednesday, August 17 at Midnight Brewery in Rockville, VA. Family members and industry guests are invited to this event!

Midnight Brewery is located at 2410 Granite Ridge Road in the Rockville Commerce Industrial Center off Ashland Rd. – just minutes from Short Pump. The large indoor and outdoor spaces will allow for fellowship at a comfortable social distance.

The social officially starts at 5:30. The cost is $30/pp when paid in advance or $35/pp at the door. Included are 2 craft beverages of choice and an entrée from the El Guapo food truck.

The Southern Region is rolling out a BIG Texas welcome for the Grand Nest’s 116th annual convention from July 11-14.  This is a family oriented event with lots of local flavor, including music, BBQ, and an evening at the legendary Billy Bob’s!

Join us for an evening of fellowship, food (featuring oysters), and live music – all for a great cause!  Our entertainer this year is Richmond’s own Barefoot Joe.

This event is open to family, friends and industry professionals.  The cost is $50 when paid by October 19 or $60 at the door, which includes food and entertainment. A full cash bar will be available.
